 Temporary Visitor (Tourist) Visas

 

Nationals from the Netherlands and countries listed under E.O. 408 may enter the Philippines without a visa for a stay of thirty (30 days). Those who wish to stay longer than 30 days may apply for a 9A temporary tourist visa which will allow a stay of 59 days.

A. Requirements

The application for a visa should be filed personally at the Embassy of the Philippines in The Hague (no appointment needed) or at the Philippine Consulates General in Amsterdam and Rotterdam (by appointment only). Applicants who are 12 years old and below need not appear.

    • One (1) passport-size photograph (pasfoto) taken within the last six (6) months. 
    • Please present passport which is valid for at least six (6) months beyond the intended period of stay in the Philippines.   Please submit a photocopy of the data page of the passport.
    • Return/ onward airline reservation ticket or flight booking confirmation.

In accordance with Philippine Bureau of Immigration Memorandum dated 8 May 2012, foreign nationals arriving in the Philippines who are admissible under Section 9(a) of the Philippine Immigration Act of 1940, as amended, or under Executive Order No. 408 (with the exception of Balikbayans), but who do not have valid return or onward tickets, shall be automatically excluded or not allowed entry.

    • If employed, recent salary slip (salarisstrook) from the company or recent bank statement.
    • If company owner, business registration permit (Kamer van Koophandel – KVK) or recent  bank statement.
    • If unemployed, proof of financial capacity (e.g. pay slip, recent bank statement, bank book, etc).
    • If retired, recent pension statement, bank statement or bank book.
    • For those traveling on business or volunteer workoriginal endorsement letter from the company/institution in The Netherlands and confirmation letter from the sponsoring Philippine company/institution.
    • Other supporting documents as may be requested by the Consular Officer
    • Please present the original documents requested with their photocopies.  

B.  For nationals from countries other than those listed in E.O. 408

Additional requirements for minors travelling to the Philippines

Minors traveling to the Philippines need visas.

For minors, 12 years old and below, who are included in a parent’s passport (collective passport), a separate visa application, complete with the required documents and visa fees, must be made for each child.  All persons included in the passport must be properly identified with a photograph affixed to the passport.

Minors must be accompanied by an adult when traveling to the Philippines. 

If the minor (15 years and below) will be unaccompanied by either parent, the minor is required to bring and submit to the Immigration Officer upon arrival in the Philippines the following:

    • Affidavit for Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG), in accordance with Section 29(a)(12) of the Philippine Immigration Act of 1940 as amended, signed by either parent or the legal guardian consenting to the travel of the minor, naming the person who is accompanying the minor to the Philippines and the person/address with whom the child will reside in the Philippines. The Affidavit should be legalized by the Embassy (download sample Affidavit for Waiver of Exclusion Ground (WEG).

     Please present passport of parent(s) executing the Affidavit and submit two (2) photocopies of the data page of the passport.

     Please present the passport of the minor(s) and submit two (2) photocopies of the data page of the passport.

     Please present the passport of the accompanying adult and submit two (2) photocopies of the data page of the passport.

     Flight itinerary of the minor and the accompanying adult and submit two (2) photocopies.

     Additional fee:    Euro 22,50 (Legalization of WEG Affidavit)

Payments should be made in CASH only. Payments through personal checks, credit cards and debit card (pin) are not accepted.

    • Filing of visa application is from Mondays to Fridays only (holidays excluded) from 9:00 a.m. until 3:30 p.m.
    • For those who prefer to receive their passport with visa by postal mail, the applicant should bring a self-addressed registered (aangetekend) mail envelope. The Embassy will not be responsible for the loss of the passport.
