The government is aiming to provide productivity training to at least 21,000 micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) under its National Employment Recovery Strategy (NERS) to help pandemic-stricken employers and workers.

P54.8 million was allotted for the program to train employers on skills, which are relevant amid the novel coronavirus disease (Covid-19) health crisis such as Business Continuity Planning and Management; ensuring work-life balance among their personnel; using the Internet for their operations; and maximizing social media marketing. The measure would allow employers to continue their operations even during the pandemic, when companies become more reliant on online to continue their businesses.
