OPCW, The Hague — Ambassador J Eduardo Malaya met with Executive Council Chairperson of the Organisation for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons (OPCW), Ambassador Abdelouahab Bellouki, on 25 June 2021 (Friday) on the preparations for the 97th Session of the OPCW Executive Council scheduled on 06-09 July 2021. Bellouki is the Ambassador of Morocco to the Netherlands and Permanent Representative to the OPCW.
The Philippines is a Member of the Executive Council from 2020 to 2022 and also regional Coordinator of the Asia Group, which is composed of 56 Members.
The OPCW is an inter-government organization and the implementing body for the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons. The Convention entered into force in 1997 and has 193 Member States (END).
