The Hague 19 June 2020 - To mark the 159th birth anniversary of Dr. Jose Rizal, The Hague PE shares the link to a free e-book “Jezus en Petrus bezoeken de Filipijnen.” It is a Dutch translation of another literary work of the national hero published by Mr. Gerald Arp of Arpenco Publishers, with a short preview in English.
The e-book is based on one of Dr. Rizal’s unfinished novels known under the title “The Lord Gazes at the Philippine Islands.” This satire on the situation of the Philippines during the Spanish colonial period is included in Rizal’s Prose, a collection of his writings published by the Jose Rizal National Centennial Commission in 1962.
