THE HAGUE, 10 August 2021 – The Philippine Embassy in The Hague, led by Philippine Ambassador to The Netherlands J. Eduardo Malaya, joined the Embassies of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Viet Nam in commemorating the 54th ASEAN Foundation Day on 10 August 2021.

Held at the Embassy of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, the event was marked with the raising of the ASEAN Flag and singing of the ASEAN Anthem, followed by remarks of Viet Nam Ambassador Viet Anh Pham, ASEAN Committee in The Hague (ACTH) Coordinator, and Director Karin Mössenlechner of the Asia & Oceania Department, Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

The program featured cultural performances from the ASEAN Embassies and concluded with a reception featuring ASEAN cuisines and delicacies, including the Filipino favorites chicken adobo and paella. END
