The Hague, 2 September 2021 -- The Philippine Embassy is pleased to have hosted on 2 September the meeting of the Board of Directors of the Philippines-Netherlands Business Council (PNBC).
 
In attendance were Philippine Consul General in Amsterdam Eppo Horlings, who presided the Board Meeting on behalf of PNBC Chair Mr. John Lintjer; Mr. Rein Willems, former President of Shell Philippines; Consul General in Rotterdam Albert Bos; Mr. Matthijs van der Lely; Ms. Monique Wisse; Ms. Maaike Groot, Public Affairs Manager of East-West Seed, and lawyer Florisa Almodiel Luteijn, Corporate Secretary of ICTSI NL.
 
The other Board Members are Mr. Simon Groot, Founder of East-West Seed, and Mr. Hogendorf Bas.
The Board Members discussed the Council’s work program to further contribute to the enhancement of PH-NL economic and cultural relations. It also seeks to provide a platform for networking opportunities for prospective business endeavors.
 
At the early part of the meeting, Ambassador J. Eduardo Malaya briefed the PNBC Board on the major projects being undertaken by the Embassy, notably the webinar “The Philippines-Netherlands Connection @ 70: Reconstructing History and Forging Ahead” to be held on November 9-11, 2021, in partnership with the Netherlands Embassy in Manila and the Ateneo de Manila University-European Studies program, and the ongoing renovation of the Embassy chancery.
