The Embassy is pleased to have received Mr. Reynorr B. Samson and spouse Ms. Mary Grace Anne Sigua Samson during their recent visit to the Embassy.
 
Mr. Samson, a chef de partie at the Sheraton Amsterdam Airport Hotel and Conference Center, has assisted the Embassy in a number of events. His recipe for lumpiang sariwa (fresh vegetable spring roll) was featured in the Embassy Festivals’ Recipe Booklet 2021, highlighting the country’s unique flavorful cuisine.
 
He also represented the Embassy in the 60th Tong Tong Fair Festival in June 2018, an annual event in The Hague and considered to be the biggest Eurasian Festival in the Netherlands.
 
In a cooking demonstration in January 2018, he presented his award-winning "atchara" sandwich which ranked 4th out of 16 entries during the competition, Lekkerste Broodje (Tastiest Sandwich) in Horecava, Amsterdam. He competed with 16 other chefs from hotels and restaurants in the Netherlands. The contest in Horecava is the biggest fair for food, beverages and hospitality industry in the country.
