The Embassy is pleased to inform the Filipino-Dutch community that the extensive renovation work at the Embassy Chancery at Laan Copes van Cattenburch 125, The Hague, is almost completed. With the top-to-bottom renovation, the Chancery building will be much improved in terms of safety and energy-efficiency with the redesign of its spaces, installation of elevator, improved ventilation, air conditioning and fire prevention systems, and upgrade of accessibility and IT wiring, among others. It will also feature a large reception hall on the ground floor which can accommodate about 100 people.
While most of the renovation work are being undertaken in the building’s interior spaces, the exterior appearance will be preserved in order to maintain the building’s monumental character and iconic presence in the historic Archipelbuurt district in The Hague.
The completion of the renovation project and the return of the Embassy personnel to the renovated building are expected in the second quarter of 2022.
