The Embassy congratulates the Knights of Rizal Rotterdam chapter on its chartering ceremony held, Saturday, 19 March.
During the chartering ceremony of the Knights of Rizal Rotterdam, The Netherlands Chapter, and delivering the message of Ambassador J. Eduardo Malaya on behalf of the Embassy, Consul Jarie Osias who is likewise a Knight Commander of Rizal called on the newly dubbed Knights of Rizal to be a beacon of light of hope and understanding by emulating the noble endeavors of Dr. Jose Rizal.
The newly-chartered Knights of Rizal Rotterdam is headed by Mr. Alexander Onia, while the Knights of Rizal The Hague Chapter, which was chartered since 2015, is headed by Mr. Anton Lutter.
The Knights of Rizal is a “civic and patriotic organization recognized by law as an instrumentality by which the teachings of our national hero, Dr. Jose Rizal may be propagated among the Filipino people, and others who may believe in his teachings to the end that they may emulate and follow his examples.”
In supporting the Knights of Rizal, the Philippine Embassy believes that Dr. Jose Rizal should serve as role model to Filipinos and Dutch alike to initiate positive change and to be of better service to humanity.
