The Commission on Filipinos Overseas (CFO) is now accepting nominations for the Migration Advocacy and Media (MAM) Awards 2012.

Created in 2011 by the CFO to celebrate the Month of Overseas Filipino (December) and International Migrants Day (18 December), the MAM Awards recognize the significant role of media in the promotion and advocacy of migration and development.

Those nominated must have raised public awareness on migration and development, and Filipino migration, advocated the cause of Filipinos overseas, and/or promoted a positive image of Filipinos overseas.

The following are the categories of the MAM awards:

• Print Journalism Award (print media)
• Radio Journalism Award (radio program)
• Television Journalism Award (television program)
• Film Media Award (films and videos)
• Interactive Media Award (web-based publications)
• Advertisement Award (print, radio or TV commercial/advertisement)

Entries must be submitted on or before 30 September 2012 to the MAM Awards Secretariat, Commission on Filipinos Overseas, Citigold Center, 1345 Pres. Quirino Avenue corner Osmeña Highway (South Superhighway), Manila, Philippines 1007.
