Ms. Maricel Manalo, President, and Mr. Jason Munoz, Project Leader of The Kalayaan Fiesta Foundation Netherlands (KFFN), briefed Philippine Embassy officials on the preparations for the Philippine Independence Day picnic to be held on 11 June 2022 at the Spaarwouden Park.

The community picnic, which is among the activities to commemorate the 124th anniversary of Philippine Independence, will commence at 8:00 a.m. on June 11, a Saturday, and will showcase Philippine culture through food, song and dance performances, contests, and workshops. It is planned to be a day-long, fun-filled fair, featuring an all-Filipino gastronomic event of popular dishes, assorted Philippine products, and cultural and other activities.
Receiving them was Consul General Lolita B. Capco, together with Consul Nomer B. Ado, Consul Marianne I. Bringas, and Cultural Officer Elea V. Perez.

The KFFN spearheaded the conduct of the PH Independence Day picnics since 2015, with the exception of the last two years in light of the pandemic.
