Heeten Helpgood Center Philippines celebrates its 25th Anniversary
Ambassador Jaime Victor B. Ledda congratulates the officers and members of the Stichting Heetense Hulpgoederencentrum Filipijnen.
The Hague, 22 September - Philippine Ambassador to the Netherlands Jaime Victor B. Ledda graced the 25th anniversary of the Stichting Heetense Hulpgoederencentrum Filipijnen - Heeten Helpgood Center Philippines (HHCP) held on 6 September 2015 in Heeten, The Netherlands.
The HHCP is a Dutch foundation that does socio-civic activities in the Philippines. In 2008, the organization was one of the recipients of the Presidential Linkapil award conferred by former President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo. It was also awarded the Knight in the Order of Orange-Nassau on 29 May 2011 in the Netherlands.
In his remarks, Ambassador Ledda congratulated and expressed his appreciation to the officers and members of HHCP, especially Mr. and Mrs. Jo A.M. Schoorlemmer, for the kindness and generosity that the organization has extended to improve the lives of the underprivileged in the Philippines. He also presented a plaque of appreciation to its President, Mr. Theo Solen, Mr. and Mrs. Schoorlemmer for their dedication in extending assistance to rural communities in the Philippines. In addition, Ambassador Ledda also read the resolution by the Sangguniang Panlalawigan, Province of Camaguin, which recognized the exemplary service and significant contribution in developing and helping the people of Camiguin.
The HHCP is a charity center that donates medical supplies and equipment to public hospitals in the Philippines; school supplies and equipment; and provides scholarship grants to deserving students from indigent families.
