15 January 2018 –  The Philippine Embassy in The Hague (The Hague PE) lent its presence to the promotion of Philippine tourism among members of the local population, mainly and largely the Dutch people as its target clientele at the yearly Vakantiebeurs in Utrecht held from 10 to 14 January 2018.  Frankfurt-based Philippine Department of Tourism-Tourism Promotions Bureau (DOT-TPB) took the primary lead in the country’s 2018  participation at  the biggest tourism and travel fair in The Netherlands. DOT-TPB Frankfurt, which also  oversees the Dutch tourism industry sector  in its jurisdiction participates for the 5th time this year and was  joined by two Dutch travel agents  in promoting new and other discoverable tourism spots in the country e.g.,  Batanes   and by travelblogger Martien Janssen (www.travelimagez.com ). In his 60-minute presentation, Mr. Janssen  expressed  admiration for the  natural beauty and sights he found in places he has visited in the country  that included Siargao (Camarines Sur) and Coron and El Nido (Palawan) to a full-packed tent of 35 largely Dutch audience. Vakantiebeurs yearly offers the Dutch travellers, families and business people included  hundreds of holiday choices and travel plans from  participating countries, travel agencies and specialists from Asia, Africa, the Middle East, the Americas and Europe. A glimpse into the culture, music, dance and food of countries from these regions was also featured at Vakantiebeurs.
