The Philippine Embassy wishes to share the latest statistics on the campaign against illegal drugs (1 July 2016 – 20 June 2017) released by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) as Chair of the Inter-Agency Committee on Anti-Illegal Drugs (ICAD).
The ICAD has recently launched #RealNumbersPH to present the actual figures behind the anti-illegal drugs operations on the ground. Updates on the combined anti-illegal drugs efforts of the PDEA, the Philippine National Police (PNP), the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI), and other law enforcement agencies are consolidated before released to the public.
Each law enforcement agency may have different data from that of the other due to time difference when the data is released. As such, having one agency to provide consolidated data will give the public correct information on the government’s anti-illegal drugs campaign.
The unitary and official report of the #RealNumbersPH on the intensified national anti-illegal drugs campaign will emanate only from the PDEA which is tasked to be the sole repository of aggregated data.
