Nominations to the Migration Advocacy and Media Awards 2017

16 January 2017—The Philippine Embassy in the Netherlands wishes to inform our kababayans that the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) forwarded SIX HUNDRED SEVENTY-SIX (676) voters’ IDs.

These voters’ IDs are for registered voters who filed their applications for registration in 2015. In addition, there are still unclaimed voters’ IDs in the Embassy for registered voters who filed their applications for registration in 2014.

Registered Filipino voters who have not yet received their voters’ IDs are enjoined to email the Embassy at This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with their complete name, as had been registered, and with “Voters’ ID” as the subject.

Once the Embassy receives an email query, we will check whether your name is in the list of those whose IDs are already available.

The Embassy also reminds Filipinos in the Netherlands of its ongoing overseas voter’s registration for the 2019 national elections to be eligible to vote [end]

22 December 2016- In light of the recent attacks on 19 December 2016, the Philippine Embassy in the Netherlands wishes to inform our kababayans that according to the National Coordinator for Counterterrorism (NCTV), the threat level in The Netherlands remains "substantial." 

As such, while the chance of an attack is real, there is no change in the threat level and no specific indications that terrorists are preparing an attack in The Netherlands.  However, additional security measures have been put in place by the Dutch government, particularly city councils and the police, for larger events around Christmas and New Year's  Eve.

As our kababayans celebrate Christmas and New Year with family and friends, the Embassy wishes everyone to keep safe and to remain vigilant. In case of suspicious activities, please notify the local police immediately.

16 December 2016.  The Philippine Embassy in The Netherlands wishes to inform the Filipino community that the Video and Radio Public Service Announcements (PSAs) on Overseas Voting registration/certification has been by the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) for airing and dissemination. The aforementioned PSAs were produced by Ube Media and Panahon TV in collaboration with the Department of Foreign Affairs-Overseas Voting Secretariat (DFA-OVS).
